SJD Children’s Hospital Therapeutic Space

Conceived next to Sant Joan de Déu Hospital, the project creates an architectural threshold between care and nature, offering children and families a place to breathe beyond the hospital walls. A gentle sequence of paths, bridges, and clearings follows the natural topography, transforming movement into a calm, accessible journey through forest, water, and light. Architecture appears lightly—boardwalks, an amphitheater carved into the slope, cultivated gardens—always secondary to the landscape, guiding without imposing. Together, these spaces form a therapeutic environment where the act of walking, gathering, and looking outward becomes part of healing, reconnecting the hospital to the larger rhythms of Collserola and the city beyond. I contributed to the project through architectural visualizations, and worked alongside Vol Studio on the project narrative and design presentation, shaping how the concept, spaces, and intentions were clearly communicated.

I am an Architecture Graduate with over three years of experience across architecture, interior design, and project management. I am passionate about architecture for social development and large-scale public projects, with strengths in concept development, design coordination, and project delivery. Since finalising my studies in Architecture at the University of Wellington in New Zealand, I have gained experience on projects ranging from bespoke residential and interior works to major civic developments with an internationally recognised studio.

I am a reliable, collaborative, and organised team member, adaptable to new tools and workflows. I am seeking a full-time role in a design-led practice and am available to start immediately.
