Before: The building was originally designed with a wide diaphragm, allowing it to function as a large ballroom. It was later converted into a residential layout through the addition of non-structural partitions, which subdivided the space and limited natural light. During the renovation, these partitions were removed to restore the original open-plan configuration and allow daylight to flow through both façades. Select structural beams were added or replaced, and the dining, living, and kitchen areas were reconfigured accordingly.
