PlyLab Kitchen in Strathmore Park

Design and delivery of a custom plywood kitchen, storage unit, and vanity. The design prioritises simplicity, functionality, and material honesty, highlighting the versatility of plywood as both a structural and aesthetic material. The kitchen seamlessly integrates storage, work surfaces, and appliances into a cohesive, adaptable layout. I undertook this project as part of PlyLab, leading the concept development, detailed design, and the creation of digital plans, models, and visualisations throughout the design process. I was also involved in creating technical drawings to facilitate the fabrication process, which was part of my project management role, and I oversaw the fabrication process all the way through to the complete installation of the design. The project showcases a balance between thoughtful design, material exploration, and hands-on construction expertise. I undertook 10 other custom kitchen design projects while working with PlyLab in Wellington, New Zealand.
